DP Green Initiative
With an eye towards the future and to further demonstrate our commitment to the communities we serve, DP Partners launched its “4-Green Program” in March 2007. The first “green facility” was built in Reno’s North Valleys.
DP Partners is committed to utilizing and exploring energy-efficient resources and environmentally friendly options for all of our facilities in the following ways:
DESIGN Green. BUILD Green. WORK Green. SAVE Green.
Design Green:
Design building projects that promote and utilize environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient systems, and retrofit existing buildings for updated energy efficiency.
Build Green:
Construct facilities employing green design criteria and reducing construction waste by promoting recycling during the course of construction.
Work Green:
Our clients experience an increase in employee productivity due to worker-friendly environmental designs.
Save Green:
Our clients save money on operational costs through the use of such features as energy-efficient lighting. Through our selection of environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient systems, we strive to help save our environment and natural resources.
DP Partners “Green” Criteria:
As part of this initiative, DP Partners has created criteria to be considered on qualified projects. Specific categories include:
Conscientious Site Design
Our goal is to reduce the impact on developable land, to utilize land in a way that preserves and enhances its natural features, to design sites that support energy conservation, and to prevent adverse impacts to adjoining properties.
Water Efficiency
Our goal is to strive to utilize plumbing fixtures and design landscaping that conserves and reduces water usage.
Energy Efficiency
Our goal is to use energy modeling simulations to identify cost-efficient ways to improve energy efficiency whenever possible.
Materials and Resources
Our goal is to utilize building materials containing recycled content, to mandate recycling of construction waste, and to reduce energy and transportation costs by using local sources of construction materials.
Indoor Environmental Quality
Our goal is to promote employee well-being and increase productivity by creating a healthy office atmosphere through improvements to indoor air quality, natural lighting, and temperature control systems.
