Dermody Properties Reopens 128,524 SF Near San Francisco

Dermody Properties recently completed renovations on the 128,524 SF Huntwood Distribution and Manufacturing Center located at 31033-31055 Huntwood Avenue in Hayward, Calif. making ±99,830 SF available immediately for lease. The remaining square footage is being leased by Wohler Technologies – a pioneer in the video, audio and data monitoring industry. 

“Dermody Properties invested more than $1,200,000 to replace the roof and all of the HVAC equipment,” said George Condon, Dermody Properties’ West Region Partner. “We also demolished a large mezzanine in the warehouse to create a wide, open space for warehousing and advanced manufacturing. We are happy to add this building to our national portfolio of industrial buildings. We look forward to helping a company relocate to Hayward or expand its existing operation in Hayward.”

Huntwood Distribution and Manufacturing Center – ready for immediate occupancy

Currently, just four properties offer space of comparable size available for lease in the I-880 corridor market from San Leandro to Fremont. The updated Huntwood Distribution and Manufacturing Center is well-suited to house advanced manufacturing companies with heavy power requirements, warehouse operations and showroom or wholesale retailers.

United Construction was the general contractor on the renovations which were completed in early 2017. Improvements to the building include new skylights, replacement roofing throughout, new rooftop HVAC units, new roll up doors, electrical upgrades and ADA upgrades. The facility already offered large floor plates, as well as dock and grade level loading.

Located in the prestigious Crocker South submarket, the Huntwood Distribution and Manufacturing Center is blocks from Interstate 880, the central East Bay transportation artery with easy access to Highway 92/San Mateo Bridge, Highway 84/Dumbarton Bridge, the Port of Oakland, several airports, Silicon Valley and Central Valley.
